Pinturas de la Rubell Family Collection is part of a series of exhibitions on contemporary art that we organise at the Santander Art Gallery in the Grupo Santander City. The Rubell Family Collection, based in Miami, was founded in 1964 in New York by Don and Mera Rubell.
The exhibition, curated by Juan Roselione-Valadez, presents 68 pieces by the most representative artists of the Rubell Family Collection, one of the largest private collections of contemporary art in the world, due to the quality of their work and the number of pieces they acquire each year. The artists represented in the exhibition include names such as Andy Warhol, John Baldessari, Elizabeth Peyton, Hernan Bass, Takashi Murakami, Neo Rauch, Francesco Clemente, Kaari Upson, Keith Haring, Adam McEwen and Cecily Brown.
