Ernestina de Champourcin (Vitoria, 1905-Madrid, 1999) is one of the most interesting female figures in the literature of the first and second half of the 20th century. She is the author pieces that were significant enough to be included, at a very young age, in the second anthology of Gerardo Diego and to deserve the recognition of the most demanding circles of critics.
The present volume collects the main poems of the author and, as such, her eventful life as a feminist both in Spain and in exile, although her work was later forgotten when she stayed in Spain and was relegated to her work as a precursor of women's rights during the Republic.
The introduction and selection of texts in this volume were written by Jaime Siles (Valencia, 1951), Professor of Classical Philology at the University of Valencia, writer, essayist, poet and literary critic.
