Fundación Amigos del Museo del Prado

The foundation collaborates with the Fundación Amigos del Museo del Prado to organise the Francisco Calvo Serraller lecture series, offering participants more indepth knowledge of the museum’s rich heritage through a monographic approach and appearances by international experts. In 2020, the series focused on exploring the biography, artistic context and main pictorial resources used in Velázquez’s work.

Fundación Banco Santander is one of the sponsors of the Museo Thyssen-Bornemisza. This support helps to conserve and disseminate the artistic heritage of the museum and organise different activities, including temporary exhibitions and restoration, education and accessibility projects.

 

Artium, Centro-Museo Vasco de Arte Contemporáneo

Artium, Centro-Museo Vasco de Arte Contemporáneo owns a substantial collection of modern and contemporary art initiated by the Provincial Council of Álava in the mid-1970s. The foundation is one of several corporate sponsors that support the museum’s activities. Since it opened in 2002, it has organised an ambitious programme of solo exhibitions and a busy agenda of initiatives relating to contemporary culture.

 

Instituto de Arte Contemporáneo (IAC)

The Instituto de Arte Contemporáneo is an independent association of art professionals. Its objectives are to improve the institutional network surrounding contem- porary art, oversee the implementation of good practices and work to change perceptions of contemporary Spanish art within society. Amid the crisis caused by the pandemic, the association produced a list of action for resistance, suggesting temporary measures that pub- lic and private institutions could take to bolster the contemporary art sector.

The Asociación de Coleccionistas Privados de Arte Contemporáneo 9915 was created to defend the interests of art collectors, find solutions to the unique problems they face, publicise their activity and advocate for private collectors as key players in the international art market. To do so, it organises working groups, courses and exhibitions, produces reports and protocols and offers mediation and advice to contemporary art buyers.
