The Sala de Arte Santander, located at the Grupo Santander City in Boadilla del Monte (Madrid), was purpose-built to house a selection of the main works from the bank’s art collection. Since 2010, it has also hosted exhibitions of important private contemporary art collections on an annual basis. Entitled ‘My Cartography. The Erling Kagge Collection’, a display of works belonging to the Norwegian collector opened in 2020. The gallery is also used for activities relating to the collection and the temporary exhibitions, which are aimed at employees, members of the public, cultural groups, schools and visitors with cognitive and sensory diversity.

The declaration of the pandemic prompted all visits to the exhibition and all educational activities at the gallery to be cancelled on 11 March. On 1 June, the gallery reopened for employees only, with strict safety protocols in place.
