Fundación Princesa de Asturias
A private, not-for-profit institution that annually confers the prestigious Princess of Asturias Awards to individuals or institutions whose activity promotes scientific, cultural and humanistic values. Awards are granted in the following categories: Arts; Communication and Humanities; Social Sciences; Sports; Literature; International Cooperation; Technical and Scientific Research; and Concord.
Fundación Premios Rei Jaume I
This foundation annually confers awards that bear its name in recognition of outstanding scientific, research and business activity carried out in Spain. Award winners receive a cash endowment of 100,000 euros and undertake to invest a part of this cash in research and entrepreneurial projects in Spain. The jury is made up of distinguished scientists, as well as a wide range of representatives from the Spanish business world.
Real Instituto Elcano
Real Instituto Elcano is an international think tank that conducts international and strategic studies from a Spanish, European and global perspective. It particularly deals with Spain’s international relations. The institute publicises the results of its studies in the form of publications and reports. It also organises working groups, seminars and conferences. To boost its international presence, the think tank participates in numerous international networks and projects.
Casa de América
This institution was created to strengthen ties between Spain and North, Central and South America, particularly the Latin American countries. To do so, it organises all kinds of cultural activities (debates, exhibitions, film shows, literary awards, etc.) to reveal the different realities of the American continent in Spain, with the participation of relevant figures from both sides of the Atlantic.
Fundación Créate
This non-profit foundation researches and implements experimental methodologies for use in all educational settings. To this end, it designs different educational programmes based on training, the development of social and emotional skills, the creation of innovative teaching materials and professional support.
Real Fundación de Toledo
This private cultural institution is committed to preserving, researching and disseminating the historical and cultural heritage of Toledo. With this aim in mind, it promotes urban enhancements, the restoration of cultural assets and holds exhibitions, conferences and concerts, among other activities. Its headquarters in Roca Tarpeya is also home to the Museo Victorio Macho, dedicated to conserving and putting much of the work of this 20th century sculptor on display for the general public.
Fundación Museo del Ejército
A foundation that promotes the study, research and dissemination of Spanish military history. One of its primary goals is to help manage the historical, cultural and artistic heritage of the Museo del Ejército (Army Museum). The support received from Fundación Banco Santander contributes to conserving and exhibiting its resources. A part of its collection, comprising uniforms, emblems and insignia, was restored in 2021.
